Firstly, according to the engineering configuration, such as how many arc sensors are installed, go to the site to investigate the geographical distribution of the switch cabinet, and determine which switch cabinet the main control unit, arc light collector, current collector and arc sensor are installed in. Arc protection system is generally installed for bus voltage transformer cabinet or excitation voltage transformer cabinet, because these cabinets are generally empty and have enough installation space. Of course, it should be determined according to the actual situation during site investigation to prevent other things from occupying the place and unable to install.
The second is to determine how to route the optical fiber of the arc sensor. We know that the monitoring object of the arc sensor is the bus bar in the switch cabinet, and the bus is located in the rear half of the switch cabinet. The optical fiber connecting the arc sensor must be connected to the main control unit, and must pass through the front part of the switch cabinet, which requires the optical fiber to go from the back of the switch cabinet to the front of the switch cabinet, and then along the open circuit The secondary cable wiring hole in front of the switch cabinet or the bus duct on the top of the cabinet is connected to the main control unit or arc light sensor, so a hole should be opened on the partition board of the front and rear parts of the switch cabinet to facilitate the optical fiber to pass through.
Finally, when the installation site of the main control unit, arc light collector, arc sensor and other equipment is determined, the optical fiber length from each arc sensor to the main control unit or arc light collector shall be measured, and the fiber length required for the whole project shall be calculated.
